ABOUT MINDSET

By Milos Rankovic

This one is going to be short. I want to tell you about the most important thing that you need to have to succeed on your body transformation journey. Before you even start thinking about what is the best diet to follow, how many times per week should you train or what is the best kind of protein powder to buy you should think more about your mindset. If you are someone who is always searching for the holy grail of dieting, magical fat burning food or some special morning detox ritual that will somehow be your shortcut to the body and life you want then this article is for you

Unfortunately, there are no shortcuts, quick fixes or silver bullets.

Trust me that personally I would love that there are..I actually searched for them almost all my life. Whoever is trying to sell you  14 days detox life changing plan or anything similar, either doesn’t know what he is talking about or just want to take your money. Most of the times its actually both.

What I want from you now is to slow down and just think for a second. Are there any shortcut for success in any other areas of life? Is there any 7 day master degree program, 14 days to get rich job or 10 days perfect marriage plan?

If all good things in life take time to develop, why would building a healthy mind and body, be any different?
So before you even start, the most important thing is to manage your mindset and you expectations.

You need to be ready for a long game.

What you need to know is that:

  • It’s going to take time..almost always more time than you think

  • It’s going to be hard...until it becomes easier

  • It will take some sacrifice...until it become a lifestyle

  • Unrealistic expectations lead to failures and disappointments

  • Stop thinking about getting fit for next holiday,  next school reunion or the next Christmas party.

  • Stop thinking there is a way to reach your goals in a month or two

Because there is no..it will take time, maybe a full year..maybe even a two.

And so what if it takes a full year, If you are going to keep it for the rest of the life? Isn’t it better to spend even a few years to get there but stay there for the rest of your life than to chase your own tale for the rest of your life just because you didn’t take time to look longer above the next summer holiday
